Chara Whiting, LMFT-Associate

Chara Whiting is from Sugar Land, Texas. She studied at both Brigham Young University and Purdue University to complete a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has done research on long term-marriage, families, father involvement, and the power of resilience. She has worked with individuals, couples and families from all walks of life in three different states for the last five years. She enjoys helping clients understand how the family system can maintain dysfunction as well as contribute to healthy growth and change by looking at family roles, communication, and how we attach to each other. Chara has been trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as many systems theories. She is currently working with both the Sugar Land and Woodlands Centers for Couples and Families. In the state of Texas she is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA 202385).
